Horton Plains is a hauntingly beautiful high-altitude plateau reserve at 2,100 metres above sea level, home to the dramatic cliffside viewpoint known as World’s End, a sheer escarpment dropping over 800 metres into the valley below. The plateau’s rolling grasslands, cloud forests, and glacial lakes are home to endemic sambar deer, leopards, and an array of highland birdlife.
